Ethan's Pear and Blackberry Cobbler

What you will need

  • 3 Dessert spoons of Apple Sauce
  • 2 Dessert spoons of Oats 
  • 1 Teaspoons of Cinnamon
  • 2 Teaspoon of Baking powder
  • 500 grams of Blackberries
  • 800 grams of Tinned Pear Halves
  • 170 grams of Flour
  • 100 grams of Caster Sugar
  • 150 grams of Natural Yoghurt
  • 80 grams of Butter


Before you start cooking, remember to wash your hands! 

1. Mash half of the blackberries with a potato masher and add them to the rest of the blackberries.

2. Now cut the pear halves into strips and then smaller pieces and add them to the bowl of blackberries.

3. Next add 3 dessert spoons of apple sauce and 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and stir everything together.

4. Next add 2 teaspoons of baking powder and 100g of caster sugar to a bowl of flour and stir together.

5. Add the cubes of butter and rub it in with your fingertips until it looks like breadcrumbs. Then add 2 dessert spoons of oats and stir.

6. Now pour in the natural yoghurt and stir until it becomes a squidy dough.

7.  Next add your pear & blackberry mix to an oven dish and scatter the clumps of dough on top, finishing with a sprinkle of icing sugar.

8. Finally ask a grown up to place into a pre-heated oven at 180 degrees for 40-45 minutes.

9. Now dish and serve!
